Jennifer Wolfe serves as the Co-Managing Partner of the firm, which she started at the age of 28 and grew via organic and merger based growth. The firm represents clients such as Microsoft, Adobe, Procter & Gamble, Kraft Foods, Scripps Networks Interactive, Duke Energy, Macy’s, other Fortune 500 companies, as well as emerging growth companies in the technology, media and entertainment, retail and consumer products industries. Her practice areas focus on intellectual property strategy, technology, internet and digital strategy, as well as venture capital and corporate counsel for emerging growth companies. She serves as the General Counsel to emerging growth companies and leads large technology transactions and intellectual property campaigns for Fortune 1000 companies.

In addition to her role at Wolfe-SBMC, Wolfe is an executive leader and proven entrepreneur with multi-disciplined expertise in digital brand strategy, innovation, and intellectual property coupled with the ability to lead multi-stakeholder groups and identify future trends to drive strategic growth. She has invested and partnered in technology start-ups, provides management consulting and intellectual property strategy to Fortune 500 companies, offers leadership as a member of the board of directors of emerging growth companies and offers expert testimony in trials related to brands and intellectual property matters. She was recently elected to the Generic Name Supporting Organization of ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names & Numbers) where she works as part of the council to develop policy for the Internet.

For the third year in a row she was named one of the top 300 global intellectual property strategists by IAM Magazine, a London based premiere global publication on intellectual property. She is a two-time past president of the Greater Cincinnati Venture Capital Association, a certified Six Sigma Black Belt in process improvement strategy and nationally accredited in public relations. She has won numerous regional awards and was named a finalist for Inside Counsel’s 2011 National Transformative Leadership Award. She was selected as a member of the 2012 class of the Direct Women Institute, a prestigious national organization developing women for service on public company boards. She completed the Stanford Law School Director’s College in 2013 and offers digital expertise in the board room.

Wolfe’s most recent book, Domain Names Rewired, predicts trends in the next generation of the internet and is widely recognized as a leading authority on the subject. She also co-authored Brand Rewired, on innovation, branding and intellectual property strategy in 2010, which reached #35 in top selling product management books and was widely recognized as visionary thinking by global brand executives. Her co-author, Anne Chasser, is the former U.S. Commissioner of Trademarks. She interviewed leading executives, consultants and advisors at top global brands and technology organizations to forecast trends in the next generation of the internet and the expansion of new gTLDs. Both books are published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Jennifer builds upon the trends predicted in both books to help c-suite executives identify new opportunities and build multi-stakeholders leadership teams within their organization.

In response to market demands, Wolfe launched a digital brand agency, Wolfe Domain, in 2012 and is working with clients such as top global brands in media, entertainment, retail and consumer goods to develop strategies for the next generation of the internet.

Wolfe also works with clients in streamlining the innovation and R&D process to more effectively create valuable intellectual assets. She helps clients without an intellectual property portfolio make the business case for developing one and implement for maximum value. She consults in best practices in cross-pollinating innovation into powerful brands, and making the business case for cross-licensing or joint development for effective commercialization of technologies. Her leadership helps executive leaders to identify new opportunities in a rapidly changing global marketplace and reduce wasted costs on inefficient use of resources.

Wolfe is a regular columnist and has been published or featured in Click Z, Executive Counsel, CIO Magazine, BusinessWeek, Inside Counsel, NPR, IP Frontline, E-Week, Pink Magazine, USA Today and more.

Wolfe received her Juris Doctorate and Master’s Degree in Organizational Communication from the University of Cincinnati, graduated magna cum laude in journalism from Ball State University, and has been trained at Harvard Law School in negotiation and mediation.
